The UL Event

Thank you for a great event. I left encouraged, happy, and loved networking with others!

I loved the opportunity to network and get excited about the year to come. Reviewing my goals for the year also helped me refocus on my “why”!

The room was filled with love, celebrations, and acceptance. You both did an amazing job making that environment and staying true to your mission and statements on the podcast. I can’t wait until the next one!

I truly enjoyed it. You two did an amazing job making everyone feel valued and welcomed. I was a little overwhelmed walking in as an introvert, but I felt a lot better seeing that others had similar feelings. It was also nice to be able to meet people in “real” life after connecting on Twitter.

You both did a fantastic job of encouraging all who were in the room to take risks and be the best version of themselves. It was a safe and fun space to share ideas and meet new and reconnect with people.

This event was fantastic! Most PD’s you want to end, however, this one could have lasted much longer. I honestly had the best time I’ve ever had and I can’t wait for another one of your events!

Overview

You just have to take a sip, take a step forward, and have a little bit of faith- in YOURSELF. We’re here to remind you that the company you keep is more important than what you know. And guess what…you’re in luck because you just picked up our little black book of how to kick ass and take names while being a fun, fab, fierce female.

If we’ve learned anything doing this work, it’s that the tables that are pre-set need to be flipped over. So grab a drink of your choice, take a seat at our table, and let’s dive into this work. By the end of this book we will teach you how to build your own table, and you better save a seat for us…you’ll thank us later.

Love,

Your Future Unsupervised Self

The predominance of educators across the country are female; however, research and data shows that as people move into administrative roles that the overwhelming majority of administrators are men. Through many conversations and work in the education field, we have not only personally experienced bias in our field, but we have also heard the voices of other females who have experienced it as well, leading us to create a podcast to highlight these realities while celebrating and elevating fun, fab, and fierce females.

Many podcasts and books about education follow the same politically correct structure. We’re here to disrupt the norm, be (very, very) direct, and give you a seat at our table with the hopes that you invite more and more to the table so that we can be better and stronger together as women leading together.

This book will also discuss and highlight the males in education that have helped to elevate and celebrate women in leadership, while also showing the realities of women being our own worst enemies, and the other unfortunate reality that women are not always nice to other women, ultimately limiting each others’ success in the field. That’s where we come in with stories, lessons, and real life experiences on how to celebrate and elevate those around you.
